Wine Dinners @1201: Where the Good Times Flow
Do you, or a group of your friend’s love wine but find it hard to get together? Maybe you have considered learning more about wine and food pairings, but you have never found the right time or place. We have just the thing to remedy the situation. Club 1201 hosts a casual get-together once a month, where we pair wine with cuisine from around the globe. Our dinners bring together folks from all walks of life, which enriches the experience for all. Part lecture and part party, our wine dinners are a deal for lovers of good food and conversation–and the wine’s not bad, either. We would love to include you.
Our wine dinners are one of the best ways to learn about wine pairings. It’s always more comfortable to ask what you might feel is a dumb question (though no question is ever dumb), when you’re among friends. We’ve designed these evenings to broaden the palate of our community.
Most people don’t know that wine flavors are derived from specific components: sugar, acid, fruit, tannin and alcohol. Foods also have flavor components, such as fat, acid, salt, sugar and bitter. Pairing them successfully you to understand the complementary components, richness and textures. Our culinary team painstakingly plans a full menu, and then Dan Morgan, our sommelier and self-proclaimed foodie, hand selects the wines that pair well and educates us throughout each course.
Scheduled on the last day of every month, these dinners are $75 per person and include six food courses and six different accompanying wines. The dinner is by reservation only, so please contact us via email, firstname.lastname@example.org, call us at 417-626-0032 or drop us a message in our Contact page. We hope you will join us!
